Following a fire on vehicle 52221 of 150221, a temporary hybrid set has been formed using 150221's spare vehcile, 57221 and 153369. 153369 has had its snowplough removed for the coupling.
Now numbered as set '153399' - the 5Z76 16:15 Laira to Exeter heads east through Totnes on its first run in Devon in its hybrid formation. Thursday 12th May 2011

43020 on test from Laira Depot running back to back with 43124 on the: 0Z77 12:28 Laira to Laira via Newton Abbot stand in Totnes, having failed with an unsolicited brake application. The pair were there some 2 hours before fitters fixed the problem, and they departed again at 15:30, but failed at Marley Tunnel and were rolled back down the hill into Totnes to await a rescue loco. 57602 later turned up for haul the pair back to Laira.
