57604 dragging 43063 & 43179 on the 1A91 14:00 Penzance to Paddington arrive into Totnes. 43179 failed in Cornwall and assistance was required for the Devon Banks. Luckily 57604 was driving training in Devon, and was sent to Plymouth to assist the HST to Exeter St Davids. This was the first HST drag for some 5 years in Devon, once a more common sight. Friday 14th October 2011.

66116 leads an RHTT west through Totnes, spraying Platform 1, forming the 3S13 08:45 Westbury to Tavistock Junction. This was a second RHTT set working in the South West. The original set with 66199 & 66016 were trapped in Cornwall as Liskeard Viaduct was being re-decked during a 4 day closure. The 2nd RHTT set was operating out of Tavistock Junction during these 4 days. Tuesday 25th October 2011.

59204 heads west through Totnes with 6 loaded TTA Tanks and 11 empty ones forming the: 6Z62 10:15 Westbury to St Blazey. This working was the result of a fatality at Bridgwater the previous afternoon. The original 6C62 St Phillips Marsh to Tavistock Junction tank train was heavily delayed, not arriving into Taunton until 23:00, where the loco ran round and the train was sent back to Westbury. This was the first time in more than 20 years a Class 59 to powered the tanks from Fawley. Wednesday 26th October 2011
57603 heads west through Totnes light engine running as the: 0Z79 09:55 Old Oak Common to Penzance. Earlier that morning, 57605 working the down sleepers ran into a tree between Bodmin & Lostwithiel causing damage to the loco. 57603 was sent down light engine to work that evenings up sleeper service with the damaged 57605 on the rear. Wednesday 26th October 2011.
66116 & 66176 head north through Totnes on dark wet morning at 09:15 forming the: 6Z62 08:34 Tavistock Junction to Bescot. In the consist was a pair of RHTT FEA's and the Colas HOBC. This was a second RHTT set working in the South West. The line was closed for the re-decking of Liskeard Viaduct for 4 days, meaning the Cornish RHTT set was trapped in Cornwall. The 2nd RHTT pair with 66116 & 66176 operated out of Tavistock Junction for the duration of the closure. Thursday 27th October 2011.
