A4 60009 Union of South Africa working "The Royal Duchy" failed at Newton Abbot with a hot axle box and was removed from the train and put in Hackney Yard out of the way. 47832 was sent light engine from Bristol to Newton Abbot to continue the charter westbound. 47832 leads 1Z37 08:50 Bristol Temple Meads to Par 'The Royal Duchy" through Totnes at 14:44, 151 minutes late. Later in the day, 60009 worked 5Z09 17:14 Hackney Yard to Totnes at a reduced speed, heading for Buckfastleigh to get repaired. 60009 is seen arriving at 17:44. Sunday 16th August 2015

Later in the day, 60009 worked 5Z09 17:14 Hackney Yard to Totnes at a reduced speed, heading for Buckfastleigh to get repaired. 57605 failed at Newton Abbot at 04:30am whilst working 1C99 23:45 Paddington to Penzance "The Night Riviera." The failed sleepers were rescued by a mini-HST formed of 43193 + TS 42280 + 43041 which were dispatched from Laira. The most unusual formation was captured passing Totnes at 07:57am on 5C99 Newton Abbot to Laira. The formation was 43193, TS 42280, 43041, 57603, 17175, 12161, 10219, 10590, 10534, 10589 & 10532.
