57603 top & tailed with 57604 head north through Totnes at 11:19 on 5Z70 11:30 Laira to Old Oak Common. 57604 had failed after leaving Bodmin on the previous evenings sleepers and was rescued by back-to-back powercars which assisted 57604 to Plymouth where passengers were transferred to a HST for their onwards journey to Paddington. Running instead of the usual New Measurement Train, 67008 top & tailed with 67023 head west through Totnes at 08:54 on 1Q18 05:17 Old Oak Common to Plymouth. The train was formed of 977997 (radio survey coach) + Plain Line Pattern Recognition vehicle "PLPR1" no 72631 + structure gauging support coach 99666 + structure gauging support coach 72630.
