43124 & 43020 on test from Laira Depot (0Z77 12:28 Laira to Laira via Newton Abbot) stand in Totnes, having failed with an unsolicited brake application. The pair were there some 2 hours before fitters fixed the problem, and they departed again at 15:30, but failed at Marley Tunnel and were rolled back down the hill into Totnes to await a rescue loco. Some 4 hours after the original failure, 57602 arrived at Totnes, having worked light engine from Penzance, to haul the failed powercars back to Laira. Saturday 21st May 2011.
