The previous nights up sleeper service failed at St Erth with 57605 low on power. The train was hauled back to Penzance by the RHTT where the train was cancelled. 57604 arrived at Penzance the following morning with the down sleeper service. 57604 then hauled the sleeper stock from the failed set, minus the loco back to Old Oak Common. 57604 heads north through Totnes at 13:30 running as the: 5Z70 10:08 Penzance to Old Oak Common. This meant there was no operational Class 57 at Penzance to work the forthcoming nights up slepepers, so 57603 was sent down light engine from Old Oak Common to Penzance. Thursday 18th November 2010.
