31285 heads west through Totnes with a combined Network Rail test train, an Ultra-Sonic Test Train & The Structure Gauging Train with 31106 on the rear working the:
3Z03 10:20 Exeter Riverside to Laira.
The formation was going Laira for fuel as the fueling point at Exeter can only accommodate a shorter formation.

There are only one or two morning per year you can get a photo odf the down sleepers in South Devon in daylight when the train is running ontime.
One such morning was 20th June, the sleepers were retimed in their later slot from Exeter due to being diverted via Honiton. At 6am in the drizzle, 57603 wearing a fresh coat of FGW Blue heads west through Totnes on the:
1C99 23:45 Paddington to Penzance
